Ahead of his visit to China on November 3, Prime Minister Imran Khan reconstituted the cabinet committee on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) on Friday.
The CPEC committee will be led by Planning and Development Minister Khusro Bakhtiar. The reconstituted committee now has a total number of 12 committee members, local media reported. Initially, the committee consisted of nine members.
The reports of all CPEC projects will be submitted to PM Khan by the committee. The CPEC committee will focus on the progress of the project in various areas of energy, infrastructure and industrial zones. The committee includes the foreign affairs, railway, petroleum, finance, interior, law and communications ministers.
During his three-day official visit to China, the premier will also attend the Chinese International Import Expo 2018 in Shanghai.
